Born in Florence, SC she was a daughter of the late John and Eula Mae Boswell Morris.
She retired from J.P. Stevens Monaghan Plant after a number of years and was a Wal-Mart associate for fifteen years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband, John C. Brown, Sr. of the home, is: a daughter, Beth Anders and her life partner Dawn Clark of Greenville; two sons, J.C. Boswell of Chesapake, VA and Robert Shannon Brown and wife Vickey of Easley; a sister, Faye Medlock of Greenville; two brothers, Ernie Joe Morris of Moonville and George Morris of Easley; eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Jason and Heather Anders, Jade and Taylor Brown, Chase McIntosh, Alan Hunt and most recently Shannon Lanae Brown; two great-grandchildren, Tara Hawkins and Jacob Anders; twenty nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brown was predeceased by a sister, Constance Case.
Maxine was loved by many and leaves cherished memories with everyone fortunate enough to have passed her in life. She will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
