Laura Heuer - Elgin

Mrs. Laura E. Heuer, 69, of 51 N. Worth Ave., Elgin, died Saturday in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.

Born September 5, 1905, in Elgin, she was the daughter of the late John and Pauline Pahlke Friedland.

Mrs. Heuer was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Elgin.

Surviving are one son, Paul of Elgin; three sisters, Mrs. George (Lillian)Carboy, and Mrs. William (Alice) Plagman, both of Elgin, and Mrs. Matie Wiard of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one brother, John C. Friedland of Elgin; and one grandson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1972; one brother, Walter Friedland; and one sister, Hattie Funk.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Stout Funeral Home, Elgin, with the Rev. LeRoy R. Koepke, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.

Visitation will be in the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until time of service on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
