SAMMIE LOUISE (BURNS) MITCHELL Passed away on Dec. 20, 2009 after a long illness. Sammie was born Nov. 26, 1945 in Little Rock, AR, to the late Samuel and Erma Burns. In 1965 she married CMSGT Frank Mitchell (Ret). To this union two children were born; Frank Mitchell Jr. and preceding her in death, daughter, Ardrienne L. Mitchell. Sammie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Frank Sr. of 44 years; son, Frank Jr. of Jersey City, NJ; brother, Michael E. Burns of Chicago, IL; and a host of other relatives and friends. Sammie traveled extensively; she resided in Louisiana, Texas, Chicago, Taiwan, New York, Kansas City, Belgium, Ohio, and California. She enjoyed cooking sewing, traveling, and spoiling her family.
