Bethiah was the daughter of Abel and Margaret Conant Edson. The Conants are descendants of Roger Conant who founded the town of Salem Massachusetts, where there is a statue of him standing in the square. She married 1) 25 Nov 1773 Consider Barden in Bridgewater 2) m. Jonathan Samson before 27 Nov 1780 in Plympton, Massachusettes. Jonathan is a decendant of the William Bradford who founded Plymouth Colony.

1) Barden: Margaret, Betsey, Consder, Rodolphus

2) Samson: Olive, Levi, Hannah, Parnel, Lucy, Jonathan and Bethiah.
