Tuesday, October 18, 1966

RODGERS- Frank Elmer Rodgers, second son of Calvin and Alma Luella Smith Rodgers, was born January 17, 1910 at Lacona, Iowa and passed away at his home in Chariton on October 3, 1966, at the age of 56 years, nine months and 21 days.

On July 25, 1928, he was united in marriage to Marietta Duskin and to this union five children were born.

He spent the past 40 years in and around Chariton, working as a brick mason. He was a member of the First Baptist church.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and faithful friend, and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Creslie Rodgers, a sister, Vera Kissinger, and daughter, Frances Phillips.

Surviving are his wife, Marietta, and children, Mrs. Norma Mullins, Des Moines; Mrs. Karen Sinclair, Des Moines; Mary Jo and Frankie, at home. One brother, Wayne Rodgers, Chariton, a sister, Mrs. William Lammers, Corydon, four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10, 1966 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee A. Hutchinson officiated at the services. Interment was at the Chariton cemetery.
