Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Hutchings of Desloge passed away December 8, 1964, at the Bonne Terre Hospital at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 26 days. A daughter of the late John and Lutisha Deloney, she was born August 13, 1882 in St. Francois County, Missouri.

She was married in 1903 to Pierce L. Hutchings and to this union six children were born. Her husband and one child preceded Mrs. Hutchings in death. Surviving are five sons: Harry of Fredericktown, John of California, Leon of Farmington, Rt. 2; James of Flat River, and Paul of Leopold, Mo.; a brother, Jefferson Delony of Madison, ILL; fourteen grandchildren, thriteen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The body lay in state at the Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge where the Rosary was recited on Friday, December 11, at 7 p.m. The Rev. Charles Torrence officiated at the funeral services Saturday, December 12, at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery in St. Francois, under the direction of C.Z. Boyer & Son, Desloge, MO.
