The funeral for Clara S. Fredericksen of Mesa, Ariz., a former Woodburn resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Woodburn.
She died of cancer Saturday in a Portland foster-care center. Mrs. Fredericksen was 70.
She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Corvallis and lived most of her life in Oregon. She lived in the Eugene-Springfield area from 1965 until 1976, when she moved to Woodburn.
She married Lars J. Fredericksen on July 1, 1966, in Eugene, and helped her husband operate the Burns-Fredericksen Funeral Home in Springfield.
Mrs. Fredericksen was a homemaker. She had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Woodburn before moving to Arizona in 1988. Her husband died in 1992.
Survivors include her son, Richard J. Beals of West Linn; daughter, Carol A. Beals of Portland; sisters, Dorothy Wegener of Twin Falls, Idaho, Wilma Hume of El Paso, Texas, and Esther Schmitz of Woodburn; and two grandchildren.
Private entombment will be in Belle Passi Memorial Mausoleum in Woodburn.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Little Lambs Preschool at Immanuel Lutheran Church or to Hopewell House.
