Elsiza married Jacob B Hoover on February 26, 1852 likely at the Salem Stone Church UCC Cemetery, Lower Frankford Twp, Cumberland Co Pa
Jacob B Hoover's parents are currently unknown. His obituary states that he is life long resident of Franklin Co. Pa. We know however, that he was in Frankford Twp, Cumberland Co. Pa. in 1852 and at least partly through 1870 for the census. This may mean he was born Franklin County.
It appears that Jacob and Eliza were living in Carlisle, Pa with Jacob working as a farm laborer, as he served to enlisments in the Civil War.
By 1870 they and moved to the Newville, Pa area and were farming, but at some time between 1870 and 1880 they moved to Franklin County. They at first were in Guilford Township, east of Chambersburg. Soon after 1880 they move to Hamilton Township, 3 miles west of Chambersburg, where they stayed until Jacobs death in 1904.
After Jacob's death, Eliza moved into Chambersburg and lives on her own until about 1909 when she begins living with her daughter Annie Whiteman.
Eliza dies at 10:20 am on July 24, 1913 of "paralysis (parslysis) of the heart" after short illness at her home.
