Sue Reeder was born April 1, 1935 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Vera Irene and Henry Gurley. She passed away March 19, 2009 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Sue graduated from Sayre High School in 1953. She was married to Clarence Dean Reeder at Sayre, OK on June 11, 1954. She continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford and Sayre Junior College. They later moved to Hugo, OK and she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music from Southeastern Oklahoma State College in Durant. Sue taught school at Hugo until they moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1977 and taught music to elementary students until her retirement. In 1980, they returned to Sayre to make their home and Sue continued to give private music lessons.
She was a member of Sayre United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Henry Lee Gurley.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Reeder, of the home; 4 children, Tralawney Reeder, Killeen, TX; Kevin Reeder and wife, Kathy, Stillwater, OK, Kelly Estus and husband, Rick, Jackson, WI, Troyce Reeder and wife, Edna, "Tiny", Ocean Springs, MS; 7 grandchildren, Sky Reeder, Cha' Reeder, Derin Valdez, Brandon Reeder, Justin Estus, Karley Estus, Ryan Estus, 1 brother, Kermit Gurley and wife, Shirley, Sayre, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
