JOSEPH FAIRBANKS was born at Brimfield, Mass., d. Aug. 9, 1852. At an early day he went from Cornish, N. H., to Sheldon, Vt.
There he married Abigail Smith, June 11. 1804. (She died Feb. 19, 1854.) He bought a farm, and by his industrious, economical habits he was enabled to make a valuable home for his family. From the farm house you can overlook the village of Sheldon.
