William Ben Mincher
Ben William Mincher of Ryan, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Westbrook Nursing Home in Waurika,OK at the age of 92. He was born January 23, 1918 the first of eight children born to Ben William Mincher and Grace Hoarth in Caney, OK He attended school at Vokie, OK. He married Mary Thompson in 1945 and had twin daughters Lorina and Corina. Mary passed away in 1973. Later he met and married Edna Hurley on June 6, 1976 in Clayton, OK. Ben had lived most of his life in Ryan, OK and was a long time farmer and rancher in that area. He worked 13 years for Stanley Bond Farm. Ben loved to talk and tell stories about his life and was very active. He was a loving father and will be missed. He is survived by two daughters-Lorina Kilpatrick of Antlers, OK and Corina Mincher of Nocona, TX, one stepdaughter-Pam Clark of Bridgeport, TX, four stepsons- Sammy Hurley of Duncan, OK, Johnny Hurley of Grady, OK, Eddie Hurley of Ardmore, OK and Ira Hurley of Waurika, OK, two brothers-Leonard Mincher of Petrolia, TX and Burdine Mincher of Caney, OK. He has 18 grandchildren and 21 great granchildren and several great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Mary Thompson and Edna Hurley, one sister, and four brothers. Visitation was held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 9-4pm at Dudley Funeral Home in Ryan, OK. A graveside service will be Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10:00a.m. at the Ryan Cemetery in Ryan,OK with the Rev. Curtis Plant officiating.
