June I. Stowell, age 82, a resident of Pulaski since 1999, formerly of Altmar, died Monday at Seneca Hill Manor. June was born June 23, 1927 in Altmar, the daughter of Charles and Beulah Waite Trumble. She attended Altmar School. June married Leon F. Stowell on February 3, 1945, he died July 22, 1989. She was a member of Williamstown Senior Citizens. Surviving: one son, Fredrick "Rick" (Lillian) Stowell of Altmar; three daughters, Linda M. (David) Rowe of Altmar, Deborah S. (Don) Petrie of Vestal, Marjorie J. (Robert) Shaw of Altmar; one brother, Ivan Trumble of Taberg; one sister, Fannie Draper of Altmar; eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. June was predeceased by one granddaughter, Stephanie Stowell Mucky who died October 21, 2002. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, Financial Management Branch, Building 31, Room 8A34, 31 Center Drive, MSC 2540, Bethesda, MD 20892-2540.

A graveside committal service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 9 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar for June I. Stowell, who died February 1, 2010. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY 13142.
