He was a graduate of Nashwauk High School and received his engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. A decorated veteran, Harvey was a captain in the U.S. Army and served in the European Theater during WWII. Following the war, he was employed by Reserve Mining and Hibbing Taconite. A loving father, Harvey instilled in his daughters compassion, empathy, a thirst for reading, and a love of nature. A kind, patient and humble man, Harvey will be missed by the people his life has touched.
Harvey is survived by his daughters: Mary (John) Hubbard, Kathryn (Gary Oxman) Menard, Margaret J. Menard, Jane (Peter) Borgren, and Teresa Davis; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Margaret.
