Wealthy was the daughter of Andrew and Abigail (Fish) Lathrop. She married Levi Preston in 1805. They had three girls and two sons from 1806 to 1815. The first two and the last two were born in New York, the middle child in Springfield, Massachusetts. All Wealthy's children survived to adulthood, at least three moved to Michigan. Wealthy was 55 years, 10 months, and 12 days old when she died.
