Rebecca married first Joshua Chaffin and they had Winnie D. Chaffin. Joshua Chaffin served with Co. B, 27th Alabama Inf and died at Camp Douglas, near Chicago, Cook County, Illinois on July 22, 1862. Joshua was the son of Joseph and Vernetta Chaffin.

Rebecca married second William Arthur Gober, a widower, who was my gg-uncle. Rebecca and William A Gober had a daughter Miley Modena Gober born 1868. Miley married Robert Henderson Rea; they are buried Gober Cemetery aka Rea-Gober Cemetery, Vina.
