She was born May 22, 1914, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Reinhardt and Emma (Misfeldt) Falkenberg.
She grew up and attended school in the town of Arthur. She married Jerry Prokupek March 2, 1935, in Cadott. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed in the town of Arthur.
She had been employed at the Eau Claire Defense Plant and Falls Dairy in Jim Falls. She had worked as a cook at various restaurants in the area and at the Northern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled in Chippewa Falls until her retirement in 1976.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Lloyd (Leona) Prokupek of Cadott, Richard (Barbara) of Prior Lake, Minn. and Darrel (Jocelyn) of Cadott; one daughter, Dolly (Les) Mathison of Cornell; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cadott with the Rev. Gerald Herman officiating. Burial will be in the Bohemian Cemetery in rural Cadott.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott with eulogy reading at 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
