Oral C. Hungate, 88, Retired farmer
Oral C. Hungate, a retired farmer from rural New Harmony, died in an automobile accident Friday between New Harmony and Wadesville. He was 88.
His wife, Hazel Allyn, died last year.
Mr. Hungate was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ and was a charter member of the Farm Bureau.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ione Saltzman of New Harmony; two brothers, Bill of Carmi, Ill., and Halden of Indianapolis; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Norvell Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

The Rev. W. Duane Yegerlehner conducted the services. The organist was Mrs. Marvin Deig.
Pallbearers were Melvin Esche, Gilbert Allyn, Steve Allyn, Elbert Allyn, Max Mahrenholz and Terry Mahrenholz.
Mr. Hungate was buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
