Nathan Lloyd "Jiggs" Bellair, 83, of Orange, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, Texas.

Services to remember his life will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2010 in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother John Fortenberry. Interment will follow services in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.

Born on October 15, 1926 in Sabine Pass, Texas to parents, Lloyd Bellair and Sadie (Lofton) Bellair, he was a longtime resident of the Orange area.

He retired as a supervisor with the Texas Department of Transportation and he was of the Baptist faith. Jiggs was a simple man who enjoyed spending time with his family, raising vegetables in the garden, raising livestock and reading western novels.

Jiggs is preceded in death by his parents.

Those most cherishing his memory are his wife, Beulah M. Bellair of Orange; his daughters, Sharon Marx and husband, Bruce of Livingston and Connie Beers and husband, Eric of St. Paul, Minnesota; his son, Henry Bellair of Orange; his sister, Claclie Richardson of Sabine Pass, Texas; his brother, Jessie Marvin Bellair and wife, Ruth of Groves, Texas and his grandchildren, Brandi Rosenbaum, Colleen Bellair, Austin Bellair, Amber Bellair, Chelsea Bellair, Shaun Taylor, Jay Marx and Ariellle Beers. Jiggs is also survived by his three great grandchildren and numerous extended family.
