Alma lost her mother early on and was raised by Uncle Charlie and his family. She married Mack Chandler as a teenager and they had two boys, Flynn and Benson. Both sons were in the military during WWII--Benson in the Merchant Marine and Flynn in the Army. She was a long term member of the Forget Me Not Club of Lakewood Heights. In addition she was a member of Lakewood Heights Baptist church and the Eastern Star. Additionally, she enjoyed embroidery and crocheting--and had drawers filled with these homemade items upon her death. Mack and Alma also had a daughter late in life. They had ten grandchildren.
