My great-grandfather on my father's side, Enoch "Neve" G. Bouslog, came to Mooreland, Indiana shortly after he was married May, 25 1900. He was born ten miles west of Mooreland in another small town, Sulfur Springs, where he was a teacher before moving to Mooreland. My great-grandmother, Mary "Molly" L. Bouslog, was born in Millville, Indiana, an even smaller town about five miles south of Mooreland. They came to Mooreland and bought an existing general store on the corner of Broad and Charles Streets. The store — known simply as E.G. Bouslog's General Store — was owned by my great-grandfather until just before his death in 1943. My father — Maclyn Parker (1929 — ), as well as his mother Angie Lucille Bouslog Parker (1905-1965), and father Crawford Fairbanks Parker (1906-1986) all worked in the store and lived in adjacent houses about one block away.
