The following information was provided by John Williams (member # 47068606) on 6/23/2012 and is from her book, "I Married a Minister" (1942).

"Golda Elam Bader is the wife of Dr. Jess M. Bader, Executive Secretary of the Department of Evangelism of the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America. She was educated at Drake University, the Sorbonne, and the University of Mexico, and has traveled around the world and spent much time in various nations. She is an ordained minister and has served in two churches as associate pastor. She has been chairman of the Ministers' Wives' Association of New York City and of the Women's Division of the National Conference of Christians and Jews." From "I Married a Minister" 1942 (Editor)

She states in her book, "The minister's wife believes that today the measure of our lives is to be found not in any differences of culture, or of social position, or of wealth. She knows that the measure of a life is rather to be found in what passionately one wants for oneself and others, and what one is willing to do in attainment."

John Williams reports that Golda Elam and Jesse Bader met at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and married in his last year at Drake (about 1911).
