Obituary - Darrell Brent Covington, age 48, passed away September 19, 2003 in Salt Lake City after a long battle with colon cancer.
He was born Sept 11, 1955 in Salt Lake City to Darrell Heath and Vera Madsen Covington.
Brent grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Cottonwood High School. He enjoyed working at Affiliated Metals as a purchasing manager.
Brent was an Eagle Scout. A man full of love, for golf and his nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He was dedicated to his mother and family. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He is survived by his mother, Vera Covington; sisters, Corinne Covington, Pamela (Marty) Goff; niece, Alyce (Ryan) Motzkus; and nephew, Dalton Goff; great nephew, Cody Frank. Preceded in death by his father, Darrell Heath Covington; and sister, Deborah.
Memorial service Tues. 1 p.m. Sept 23, 2003 Cottonwood Chapel, 4930 Westmoor Rd (1665 E) Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
