SUBLIMITY - Louise A. Ditter, a resident of Sublimity, died December 1, 2005. She was 88 years old.

Mrs. Ditter was born on October 9, 1917 in Kingston, Oregon. She was the daughter of George and Anna (Perry) Gassner. She attended schools in our area. She married Louis Ditter on September 26, 1957 in Stayton, Oregon. She had worked as a clerk at the Coast to Coast store for many years.

She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church as well as the Catholic Society of Foresters and the Santiam Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She greatly enjoyed watching TV, reading, and playing cards.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Gassner of Scio; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, James Ditter; one brother, Herman Gassner; and a sister, Mildred Purdy.

Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 5 at Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m., Tues., Dec. 6, 2005 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sublimity. Memorials in her memory may be directed to either the American Cancer Society or St. Mary or Regis Catholic School Programs in Stayton. Arrangements are by Weddle Funeral Home.
