Parents: William Samuel Stevenson and Rebecca Elliot.

William was born Oct. 10, 1791 in Pisgah, Woodford Co. KY and married 1st: Peggy Scott who died in 1808. (William's father was born in KY and mother born VA which is where Rebecca was born in 1780.)

In 1810 he married Rebecca Elliot, mother of Martha. Martha had a younger brother, Thomas M. Stevenson, who, according to the 1900 Census, was born Oct., 1825 in Ky. Rebecca and William died in Clay Co., MO where son Thomas resided in 1900. William and Rebecca moved to MO from KY in 1827. William d. 4 Dec 1832 Clay County, Missouri.

William's parents/Martha's grandparents were Samuel Stevenson and Gay Jean Jane Warwick.

Note: A family member stated that Martha actually died in Grand Dalles, Klickitat Co., WA. They used to live in Rockland, Klickitat Co., WA before they moved in with their daughter and son-in-law in The Dalles, Oregon as Martha was disabled and probably couldn't take care of her husband Matt. After he died, she then moved back to Grand Dalles/Rockland, Klickitat Co., WA and died there.
