Earl Everett Anderson

Earl E. "Red" Anderson, 86, of Findlay, died at 5:15 a.m., Sunday, May 2, 2010, at The Heritage. He was born on May 27, 1923, in Hancock County to the late David R. and Martha M. (Jordan) Anderson. He married Lola E. VanSant and they were divorced. He later married Pat Aurand and they were divorced. He is survived by his daughter, Ann (Robert) Burner of rural Findlay; a brother, Robert Anderson of Klamath Falls, OR; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Anderson of Rochester, MI; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death was a son, Ridge Anderson; a daughter and son-in-law, Lorena and Carl Pickens; brothers: William, Charles and Dale Anderson; sisters: Bessie Anderson, Arlouine Wise and Frances Page. Red retired from Mac and Bob's Wrecker Service. He was a 1941 graduate of Arlington High School and a U.S. Navy Veteran having served our country in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 3, Amvets #21, V.F.W. #3003 and D.A.V. #43. He enjoyed saving quarters, and watching the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals and auto racing. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery, Washington Township. Visitation will be held 2 hours (10:00-12:00p.m.) prior to the service at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
