Delores M. Webb McFadden, 74, of Lakeview, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at her residence with her children and family by her side.
She was born in Richwood on Sept. 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Garnett S. Fry Webb.
She married Victor H. McFadden in Essex on Feb. 15, 1972, and he preceded her in death Aug. 27, 2004. She also was preceded in death by a son, Marion McFadden; a brother, John E. Webb; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Rigsby.
She was employed at the Oakland Hotel in Marysville in the 1950s and Ranco in Plain City where she retired after 21 years. She was a homemaker and also worked at Scioto Valley in Marysville and as a security guard at Nash-Finch.
She grew up on a farm in Union County and was a very strong woman. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge 1533 of Indian Lake and Indian Lake Eagles 3615 F.O.E. She enjoyed working with genealogy, boating, fishing and camping with her family at the lake.
She was so proud of attending her grandson Jake's graduation party on May 30 and was looking forward to attending the graduation party of her great-niece Tiffany Smith which the family will attend today in honor of their mother.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Nelson and her friend Joe DeGennaro of Huntsville, and Donna Young of Richwood; a son, Brian (Tami) McFadden of Mt. Victory; sister, Shirley (Warren) Levings of Prospect; grandchildren, Shannon and Mike Huffman, Sgt. First Class Joshua K. and Robyn McComas, Jonathan McComas and friend Amanda Fraber, Jacob and Sara McFadden, Kyle and Robin Reames, Isaiah Young and Natalie Young; great-grandchildren, Shaina, Ryan and Alexis Ray Huffman and Brody and Aiden McComas; her faithful companion, Cheyenne; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
