Belle Paine - Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Young observed their golden wedding anniversary Sunday with a family dinner at their home. They were married Aug. 14, 1901 in Covington.
Present Sunday were their children Clarence Young of Des Moines; Mrs. Ray Bell, Mrs. Lloyd Phillis and Charges Young of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Kenneth Warner and Mrs. Wilbur Bednar of Vinton, and Robert Young of LaPorte City, another son, Oscar Young of Urbana who was unable to be present.
The Young's have twenty-nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Other relatives from Cedar Rapids and Palo attended the celebration.
