EMIL SCHEUMANN, 83, of Hoagland died yesterday at Regency Place Health Care Center. The lifelong Allen County resident was a retired carpenter and a former Hoagland volunteer firefighter. His wife, Clara, died in 1976. Surviving are his daughters, Elaine King of Fort Wayne, Eva Lou Fuhrman of Hoagland and Eleda Koeneman of Monroeville; sons, Richard E. and Roger A., both of Hoagland, and Ray D. of Waterloo; brothers, Harold of Fort Wayne and Walter of New Haven; sisters, Agnes Hockemeyer of New Haven, Gertrude Deister of Hoagland, and Emma Hollman and Luella Oehler, both of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services are 10:30 a.m. at Zwick-Sefton & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, and at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church at Bingen, Adams County. Calling is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.n. tomorrow at the funeral home. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
