Funeral service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Canby chapel of Everhart and Kent for Sivert Anderson, 76, resident of Route 1, Box 399A, Hubbard. Mr. Anderson passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Silverton Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Born Aug. 6, 1889, near Devil's Lake, N.D., he was married in 1909 at Duluth, Minn., to Violet Sherwood. She survives him.

He came to Oregon in 1922. He lived 13 years at St. Helens and later at Toledo and Needy before moving to his present home eight years ago.

He had engaged in logging and sawmill work and worked six years before retirement as night watchman at A. F. Lowes lumber mill at Molalla.

He was a member of the Monitor Seventh Day Adventist church. Elder C. C. McKeown will officiated at the Thursday service. Vault interment will follow in Rock Creek cemetery at Needy.

HUBBARD---Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Everhart & Kent for Sivert Anderson, 76 of Hubbard Rt. 1 Box 399 A, who died Thursday at a Silverton Nursing home. Elder C. G. McKeown will officiate. Interment will be at the Rock Creek Cemetery near Needy.

Anderson came to Oregon from North Dakota in 1922, living in St. Helens, Toledo and the Needy areas prior to moving here eight years ago. He was employed in the logging and sawmill industry.

Survivors include his widow, Violet.
