Radford Rayment Jnr. was born in the Tendring Registration District of Essex,(Civil Registration: Births Mar 1892
Rayment Ratford * John Tendring 4a 571 ).
He was the son of Radford Rayment and Rose Alice Rayment, nee Bennett-they were married in the District in 1890 (Civil Registration: Marriages Dec 1890 Tendring 4a 793 ) His father had been born in Cambridge in about 1865, and became a seaman,subsequently losing his life at the age of 42 in the wreck of the S.S. "Berlin" off the Hook of Holland in 1907. He is buried in the 's Gravenzande General Cemetery near The Hague.His mother re-married in 1918 in Woolwich, S.E.London, (Civil Registration: Marriages Mar 1918 Stockwell, Herbert F / Rayment Woolwich 1d 2133 ) but she and her husband, and 3 other family members, including his sister, fell victim to enemy action at their home in Woolwich on 19th April 1941.All were laid to rest with Radford John Rayment at Harwich.
