Billy Stewart Honeycutt Obituary:

Abilene Reporter September 6, 1998

BROWNWOOD -- Billy Stewart Honeycutt, 69, died Friday at his home after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early with the Rev. Ruben Packer officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple with the Rev. Donald Lee Robinson officiating.

Mr. Honeycutt was born in Temple, where he attended school, and served in both the U.S. Air Force and Navy. He formerly worked as a conductor for Santa Fe Railroad and moved to Brownwood in 1978 from Temple. He married Mary Evelyn Hibbs in 1978 in Comanche and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; two sons, John Wigle of Portland, Ore., and Gary Doud of Brownwood; two daughters, Cindy Conn of Grand Prairie and Deborah Dawson of Brownwood; and six grandchildren.
