Carl D. Rhoten, age 62, of Springfield, MO., passed away in his home with his family on April 2, 2006, after a 14 month battle with cancer.
He was born to Carl V. Rhoten & Claranda (Stokes) Rhoten on April 6, 1944. His father preceded him in death.
Carl was a Veteran & retired after 25 years with the Springfield Fire Department. He was employed at O'Reilly Automotive at the time of his illness.
On December 24 1962, he was married to Ernastine Mills. He is survived by his wife Ernastine, son, Kevin & his wife, Judy, their children, Lucas, Rachel, & Olivia; his daughter, Kendra Holden, & her husband, Stacy, their daughters, Shelbi & Maycee; his mother, Claranda Hudson & her husband Glenn, two sisters, Marie & husand, Danny McMurray, and Irma & husband, David Delzell, & seven nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Mnday, April 17th at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow at Danforth Cemetery in Strafford, MO. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Apral 16th in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be madfe to the American Cancer Society. Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar, MO. is handling the arrangements.
