The Blocton Enterprise, v. 17, no. 31, West Blocton, Ala., Thursday, March 1, 1923, p. 3
The remains of Mrs. George Meeks arrived here from West Frankfort, Ill., Tuesday evening, and were interred at the Kinard graveyard Wednesday. Mrs. Meeks was a daughter of Mr. Barney Kornegay, and is the third of his daughters to die recently, Mrs. Swindal having been buried only a few weeks ago. She is survived by her husband and one child, the latter dangerously ill. (Posted by Jacque Otts on message board, 30 Jan 2001.)
