Anyone S. Correia, 75, died Sunday at Woodbriar of Wilmington. Mr. Correia worked for Harry M. Stevens Co. for 25 years before he retired.
Born in Dighton, MA, he lived in Lawrence all his life.
During World War II, Mr. Correia served in the Army. He was a rifleman and private first class, stationed at Fort Devens. For seven months, while serving his country abroad, he was a prisoner of Marvin a German concentration camp.
During his service, he was involved in combat in Naples and Forgia,Italy. He received several awards, including the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Purple Heart and the Eurasia Campaign Medal.
He leaves wife Theresa G. (Proposki) Correia, daughter and two sons in RI, a stepdaughter in NH, a sister in MA, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and three nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will take place and burial will follow.
