The following obituary was copied, as it appeared, in the Thursday, April 18, 1957 edition of THE LAMPASAS RECORD. Contribution by FAG member Sue Lilley.

"Funeral services for Mrs. J. O Lindsey, 86, were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Berean Christadelphian Church, conducted by Oscar Beauchamp of Pomona , Calif., assisted by Emmett Banta of Hondo.
Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery, and Briggs-Gamel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lindsey passed away at 1:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13.
She was Margaret Jinnettie Lowe and was born July 26, 1873 in Lee County. She came to Coryell County in 1885 and was married to J. O. Lindsey July 18, 1888. They had resided in Lampasas since ----. He died April 6, 1942(1943). She was a faithful member of the Berean Christadelphian Church of Lampasas since 18--.
Survivors are eight children: J. L. Lindsey, Joe Lindsey, J. M. Lindsey, Mrs. Viola Greer and Mrs. Eola McLean, all of Lampasas; K. L. Lindsey of Nix, Z. T. Lindsey of Brownwood, and L. V. Lindsey of San Angelo; 42 grandchildren, 100 great-children and 9 great-great-grandchildren".
