Abiah Farnum and John Ayer were married at Andover, Massachusetts on 4 April 1769. Widow Abiah Ayer married Col. David Gilman at Pembroke on 8 Nov 1810 as his third wife. John Ayer did leave a will with his wife Abiah as executrix. John Ayer and Abiah Farnum had thirteen children whose births are recorded at Pembroke. Five of those children died in childhood.
