Theodore A Johns Sr.said to be born in Boston, Mass. He traveled as a child in China with his father and attended grammar school there from 1919-1921, then returned to the United States and went to school in california for 1 year, 1922; after that he attended Williamsport, Pennsylvania schools for 3 yrs 1922-1924. He was placed in the " Boston Children's Mission " or "Children's Aid Society" and was seperated from his mother Ann L Hennigan ( Hendrigan)for 30 yrs. He found his mother while searching for birth information when beginning to work for either the postal service or Army enlistment.He was raised by Susan Baxter Newhall and her husband William Franklin Newhall,once an adult he married & divorced quickly from a woman believed to be named Nora. Ted's second marriage was to Thelma A Berry ( Newhall ) he had one known child, Theodore A Johns Jr. Ted Sr was involved in local politics, sports
( Softball & Boxing ) He was a typewritter mechanic between the years of 1925-1942 and when in the Army-Air force he & his family were stationed at Dow Air force Base, in Bangor, Maine. In 1950 he moved to Carmel, Maine and raised his family. and having many businesses; from being the Postmaster, Ham radios, snomobiles, and a Golf course he built himself where he lived and retired. His wife thelma Died in Dec, 1968. and his son Ted Jr died in Aug, 2009.
