Martha Etta Golleher was born on Thursday, October 10, 1889 to parents Andrew Woodroe "Andy" Golleher (1861-1922) and Tellotha Adeline Morgan Golleher (1869-1896). She was their only surviving child; some family tree records indicate she was the second of four children, but she was the only one to reach adulthood. When her mother died in childbirth in April 1896 (with a fifth child?), her father Andy remarried (twice) and produced many half-siblings for Martha.

On what would have been her parents' 20th wedding anniversary, Martha wed Grover Cleveland "Martin" Daniels on July 1, 1906 in Lonoke County, Arkansas. The couple was just one week shy of their 34th wedding anniversary when Martin passed away in 1940. Their union produced seven children, with only daughters Bertha Hildey (second born) and Lillie Agnes (youngest child) surviving to adulthood; according to family history, their other five children -- oldest child Addie May, and four sons Henry, Roy, Alford, and Willie -- perished as children from an outbreak of diphtheria, sometime around 1918.

After Martin's passing, Martha remarried to William Sidney "Sid" Snow on November 26, 1942 and kept the Snow surname until her death (Sid passed away in 1949 and is buried at Carlisle Cemetery). Martha spent her final days living in the home of her daughter Bertha and son-in-law Otha Finis Phillips, Sr. and passed away on June 18, 1970 at age 80. Martha was laid to rest at Hamilton Cemetery next to her first husband, Martin Daniels.
