Lawrence Cantrell moved to Young County as a young man in 1911. Lawrence Cantrell married Effie Ann Davis on 4 August 1912 in Loving, Texas. Lawrence and his family moved to Graham in 1943 from Loving, Texas. Funeral held at the First Christian church building officiated by Larry Brannum. Survivors: wife; son - Marcellus Cantrell, daughter - Mrs. Opal Bavousett; foster daughter - Mrs. Louise Clifton; seven grand; three brothers; five sisters.
