J.B.ADKINS DIES TUESDAY NIGHT, RITES THURSDAY
J.B. Adkins, 81, retired Purdon farmer and real estate operator died in the Navarro Clinic late Tuesday Night.
Funeral Services will be held from the First Baptist Church in Purdon, Thursday at 2:30 PM. Burial will be in the Dresden Cemetery. The rites will be conducted by Rev. Chester Reames, pastor of the church. A native of Arkansas, Adkins had resided in the Purdon community for 58 years. He was formerly prominent in politcal and other circles and was the precinct chairman and election judge at Purdon for many years. Surviving are a son, N.L. Adkins of Purdon; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clyde Boldin, Haddix Boldin, W.H. McGraw, Autry French, T.L. Rogers, and C.E. Thomas, Jr.
Corley will direct.
