Flora Irene Armstrong, 80, died July 20, 1997 at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center. Born October 7, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Jane Fretwell Hensley.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Steele, Mo. She married John Armstrong, who has passed away.
Survivors include: one son, Vernon Armstrong of Arnold, Mo.; three sisters, Marie Howe of Steele, Mo., Juanita Sutton of Ga. and Neva Cossey of Fairfield, Ca.; two brothers, Carl Hensley of Bowling Green, Fl. and Charles Hensley of St. Ann, Mo.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services were held July 23, 1997 at 1 p.m. at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele, Mo. with Rev. Gary Andrews officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
