CLEARFIELD – Gladys Virginia Aikens Cragun, 91, passed away Monday, July 14, 2003 at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield.

She was born April 1, 1912 in Ogden, Utah to James William and Minnie Bohi Aikens.

She married Cecil L. Cragun on July 20, 1934. The marriage was sealed in the Logan Temple Dec 27, 1957. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1967.

She retired as a cook from Red Baron Restaurant in Brigham City after 20 years of service.

She was a member of the LDS Church. Her hobbies, before losing her eyesight, were flower gardening, reading, knitting, crocheting and making crafts for others. Other interests included traveling to many different countries and places in the United States.

Surviving are her children, Cecil (Carol-anne) Cragun, Ogden; Pat (Gerald) Zabel, Clearfield; Carol Parker, Pittsburg, CA; Larry (Jeannie) Cragun, Ogden; Mick (Donna) Cragun, Clearfield; Janae (David) Jackson, Central Point, OR; Randy (Betsy) Cragun, St. George, UT; 38 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and two sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Country Pines Retirement Community and Rocky Mountain Care Center.

"I'm just plain folk. Do not grieve too much. Go on with your lives. I've had a good one. I've been lots of places and seen lots of things, so it is time to move on."
