Lucylle B. Floyd -Cochran- Funeral services for Mrs. Lucylle B. Floyd, 87, of Cochran who died Monday, January 30, 2006 will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Floyd was born in Bleckey County, the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Claudia Williams Bollinger. She was the widowof Tom W. Floyd, Sr. Mrs. Floyd was a loving and kind person to all, always putting the needs of others before those of herself. The one word that may have best described Mrs. Floyd was special. She was retired civil service from Robin A.F.B. She was a member of Limestone Baptist Church, Senior Sunday School Class and Senior Citizens Oraganization, N.A.R.F.E. and A.A.R.P. She was preceded in death by a son, Shorty Floyd, grandson, Jeff Floyd and sister, Ruby Christine Stubbs.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Cranford of Cochran; two sons, Tom W. Floyd Jr. of Mt. Gilead, NCand James G. Floyd of Cochran; grandchildren, Sherry Chappell of Macon, Cheryl Turk of Hawkinsville, Lisa Floyd of Hawkinsville, Tink Bond of Hawkinsville, Tammy Butler of Cochran, Tommy Floyd III of San Jose, CA, Chris Floyd of Suwanee, John Hagye of Suwanee, Leahann Schmitt of High Point, NC and Danette Porter of Beaver Creek, OH; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
