Temperance L. Rucker Hendren, 82, of Moberly died Thursday at 1:45 p.m. at North Village Park. Born June 15, 1902, in Salisbury, she was a daughter of James and Fannie Gooch Rucker. A homemaker and a member of the Protestant Church, she had lived in Moberly 40 years. Surviving are seven children; James and Naomi Hendren, Thompson; Virlee and Laverne Baldwin, Holliday; Lucinda and Richard Griffith, Kansas City, KS; Dorothy and Harris Delaney, Holliday; Ollie Dell Hillen, Evelyn and Eugene Boyles, and betty and Burnis Riley, Moberly; two sisters, Mary Williams, Salisbury, and Frances Hendren, Macon; 36 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie, in 1970; whom she married December 19, 1919, in Salisbury; a son, John; a daughter, Elizabeth Kirkendoll; brother, J. W. Rucker; and a sister Clara Nichols. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Cater Funeral Home with Bill Harris officiating.
