F. M. Ayers, a carpenter at Fountaintown, was found dead Saturday afternoon. His death is supposed to have been caused from heart trouble.

Francis was the son of Nathaniel and Cylinda Ayers. Nathanial advertised in the Madison Newspaper in 1840 that if his first wife, Cylinda, didn't return home the divorce would go through by a certain date. He married Sarah Ann Roseberry in 1841, the step mother of Francis. Francis is noted in the 1850 census with Nathaniel and Sarah, with his brother, Nathaniel Jr. and his half-sister, Eliza Jane.
