Phillip was born in New Castle, Indiana March 29, 1936 to Russell and Edna (Bundy) Baskett who preceded him in death. He graduated from Mississinewa High School in Gas City and married Mary Lou (Duckworth) Baskett in 1954. She precedes him in death.
He had worked in sales most of his life. He loved the lake, boating and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Herbert Kuhn American Legion Post 235 in North Webster, and the Warsaw Moose Lodge. Phil was active in Lake Conservation and Preservation.
He is survived by a brother, Russell (Sarah Jo) Basket, Virginia; sons, Allen (Margaret) Baskett, Celina, Ohio, Phil Baskett, Newport Richey, Fla., Stan (Kelly) Baskett, Carmel and daughter Linda (Steve) Biggers, Indianapolis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.∼Leesburg - Phillip E.
