Frances was adopted by her aunt (May Louise Kilpatrick Clark - FG # 139912895) and her uncle (Hubert F Clark ) shortly after her biological mother (Myrtle Louise Wilcox Kilpatrick) died in 1913. Her sister Miriam Louise Kilpatrick Rees was also raised by the Clarks. Sister Gladys May Kilpatrick Houghtaling was raised by her great-grandmother, Kate Fitch Wilcox.
