Stephen Bradley Albro, son of Nickolas Frank and Phoebe Jane Smith Albro, was born in Saline County, Nebraska, December 26, 1877, nad passed on from this life, December 19, 1950, having attained 72 years, 11 months and 23 days.

As a small boy, Mr. Albro moved with his parents to Fillmore County, where he lived out his life.

April 15, 1908, Stephen was united in marriage to Ida Elizabeth Dennis, and to this union were born eight sons and six daughters; Merle, Gertrude, Geniza, Gilbert, Lewis, Hubert, Francis, Dennis, Walter, Leonard, Charlotte, Margaret, Dorothy and Robert. One son, Hubert, preceded his father in death, in 1921.

In 1920, the Albro's moved into Fairmont so that the children would have the advantage of the town school.

In his passing, Stephen Albro leaves to cherish him memory, his wife, Ida Elizabeth of Fairmont; seven sons, Gilbert, Francis and Robert of Fairmont, Lewis and Dennis of Geneva, Walter of Baltimore, Md., and Leonard of Bremerton, Wash.; and six daughters, Mrs. Harley Mitchell of Lincoln, Mrs Hubert McClellan, Mrs. Edmond Ackerman and Mrs. Federal Bridgman of Fairmont, Mrs. John Gibson of Alliance and Miss Dorothy Albro of LIncoln; twenty three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Edith Howe of Bremerton, Wash.; five nieces and many, many friends. Stephen Albro will long be remembered in this community as father, grandfather, neighbor and friend.

Funeral services were held in the Federated Community Church, Saturday afternoon, December 23, Rev. Willard F. Payne, the pastor, officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet, Maurice Hansen, Dick Goodrich, Anna Marie Goodrich and Elizabeth Little, with Carolyn Goodrich at the organ. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery with John Bettger, Sr., Harry Mills, Harry Smith, S.E.Atwood, Sr., Elmer Hadsell and T.W. Roper as pallbearers.
