Dallas E. Biddle, 77, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in Kent General Hospital, Dover.

He was born on August 30, 1932 in Blackbird, Delaware, son of the late James and Mamie (Savin) Biddle.

Dallas served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He had worked for Acme where he was a meat manager retiring in 1983 with 35 years service and also for Dawson Bus Service for several years driving a coach and school bus.

Dallas was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose and was elected to the first Board of the Delmarva Beef Cattlemen's Association. He also was a member of the Harvest Years Senior Center and AARP. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins. He raised and showed Polled Hereford cattle at the Delaware State Fair for 10 years under his farm Brandy Acres.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers James, George, Carroll, Charles and Donald Biddle, sisters Etta Governale and Helen Cannon and a nephew that was raised like a brother John Farrow.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Shirley Dean Biddle, a daughter Teresa Carrow and her husband Robert of Townsend, a son Dallas Biddle, Jr. of Middletown, a brother Ralph Biddle of Smyrna, a sister-in-law and previous caregiver Beverly Dean and her husband Robert Greenfield of Harrington, grandchildren Matthew, Olivia, Jacob, Nathaniel Carrow, Jason and Katherine Biddle, a great grandson Matthew Kelleher, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 noon on Friday, Jan. 8 at the New Life Family Worship Center, 226 Worship Lane, Camden-Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to New Life Family Worship Center, 226 Worship Lane, Camden, DE 19934.
