Diana L. "DeDe" Vaughn, 63, of Monmouth died at 11:23 P.M. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg.
She was born August 20, 1946 in Monmouth the daughter of Lewis and Betty (Bingham) Dutton. She was raised and educated in the Monmouth area, attending Warren High School and graduating from Yorkwood High School in 1964.
DeDe married Thomas L Vaughn in Rock Island, IL on September 25, 1969 and he survives.
She was a secretary and bookkeeper. She has worked the last 20 years at Lovdahl & Shimmin Inc. in Monmouth. She loved to cook and enjoyed collecting snowman, bird houses and crafts. She enjoyed the company of her two dogs, Minnie and Murphy.
She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church of Monmouth.
Her family includes her husband, Thomas and half brother, Ronnie Shaffer of Henderson, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dan Dutton.
Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services are planned at a later date. Memorial may be left for Western Illinois Animal Rescue. Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth is in charge of arrangements.
